Cell Phone
By the late twenty first century, cell phones had undergone some major technological changes. One was the switch to using the Internet, then SatNet as the communications medium instead of cell towers. Another was circuitry which uses one hundredth the power of original cell phones. Although the term smart phone had been dropped by most manufacturers by the mid twenty first century as a retro marketing scheme, they continued expanding cell phone capabilities as time went on. Jack's cell phone for example, could control everything from his car to the appliances in his house, acted as his identification, allowed him to spend money, was his credit card, and much more. Most people in the early twenty first century were wary of letting something as easily lost or stolen as a phone hold these abilities. but with the invention of quick DNA identification, phones could easily determine if the person operating them was the owner.
