Aot

The All in One Tool was invented by the Dren millions of years ago. It is based off of Light technology, making it smaller than one would expect for a device which can do so many different things. As with human tools like a hammer, Aots come in various sizes but are almost always a long rectangular box shape.

All Aots have four basic functions: material storage, control access, material cutter, material welder. Some of the more common abilities that are included in an Aot are: material manipulator, medical injector, medical scanner.

At the core of an Aot is a micro field generator and sensor system. These two components can easily be controlled by the Aots version of software to perform almost any function needed.

Almost ever sentient species in the galaxy uses Aots in their day to day life. The exceptions being life forms the Lights do not believe are ready for contact with alien races or technology.
