Location: 65 Km East of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Population: 750 thousand.
Unlike surrounding cities, Abbotsford does not change quickly. Vancouver to the west was losing population fast. Chilliwack to the East was gaining population even faster. In the late twentieth / early twenty first century the city saw much growth and the people were happy with what the city had become. Occasionally new housing complexes would be built, or new shopping centers opened, but they were few and far between. The one thing that did have major change was the Airport. By the end of the twenty first century, Abbotsford International Airport had outgrown Vancouver's airport, becoming the hub of air transport for southern British Columbia.
